Happy #worldkidneyday!!!!! 🤩 I’m celebrating today with a 5 hour dialysis sesh 💉 #liveforthesesh #givemeyakidney
Big day over here... .
First and foremost it’s WORLD KIDNEY DAY 💚💚 Happy WKD to all of my kidney brothers and sisters out there... especially the ones involved in our special chain at @saintbarnabasnj .
Secondly... one year ago today I taught my very first Pure Barre class! So hard to believe that it’s already been a year , and even harder to believe I only started teaching 14 months post transplant! Teaching @pure_barre has been so challenging and rewarding , and I honestly love every single second. 127 classes in one year and feeling more and more confident with each class I teach.
Finally... worked my first trip in the new @americanair uniform today! The fit and feel is nice , and it’s great to finally see all of us looking (for the most part) uniform! Because of my anti rejection medication I’m more susceptible to getting sick , so I’m taking precautions and staying as safe as I can in the friendly skies. Please keep buying airline tickets so I can keep working! ❤️

🧡It’s been a minute...
and today I am asking you to take a #MinuteForYourKidneys by taking a quiz on www.kidney.org. Today is #WorldKidneyDay and today I want to share this story:
This isn’t sponsored. This isn’t an ad. This is as real life as it gets. Did you know that 33% of American adults are at risk for kidney disease Ironically , 33 is my lucky number and it’s my sister’s lucky number too. But when it’s comes to our dad 33 isn’t lucky at all.
Our dad needs a kidney. He’s on dialysis. And because of this he is at a much higher risk of getting sick from the Coronavirus.
This picture , while it looks perfect , almost didn’t happen. Shortly before our wedding my dad went into complete renal failure and things got worse before they got better.
And now he is on dialysis (three times a week) and it’s not a solution. The solution out there comes from YOU! Did you know that “many people who need transplants of organs and tissues cannot get them because of a shortage of donations Of the 123 ,000 Americans currently on the waiting list for a lifesaving organ transplant , more than 101 ,000 need a kidney , but only 17 ,000 people receive one each year. Every day 12 people die waiting for a kidney. Organ and tissue donation helps others by giving them a second chance at life.”
I urge you all to visit kidney.org to learn more.
Take the quiz to see if you’re at risk of kidney disease.
Navigate the site to learn more about kidney donation.
And please , PLEASE follow the guidelines the World Health Organization has in place regarding COVID-19 and Coronavirus. You may think you’re not at risk or that social-distancing is “overreacting” but it’s not. It’s serious. Be Safe. Be Smart. Be Kind.
I am here to offer support to anyone that has questions and I am happy to direct you , and yours , to the resources I have available.
Also , if you have an extra kidney that you’d like to donate...you’ll for sure get on our family Christmas Card List! -C💋 #cassydy

Funny how the only people who know about #worldkidneyday are the ones who don’t have kidneys. Let’s change that. 🧡 comment an orange heart to show all my IG kidney homies that you know we exist , even though it’s REALLY hard for us to. 🧡 it’s our day guys , I love you , let’s keep going. 🧡🧡🧡 #spreadawareness #spreadlove
Today is #worldkidneyday which is a campaign that raises awareness to the importance of kidneys and reducing the impact of kidney disease.
A portion of our sales today will be donated to the Kidney Project at University of California San Francisco. This is to honor a man who had a profound impact on our lives. He never was able to see the completion of Farewell but he was there from the beginning. Conceptualizing , planning , demo work and loving support. We think about him everyday and miss him greatly.
Today is World Kidney Day! I’m wearing orange for the 850 million people worldwide who have kidney disease. Not everyone is lucky enough to get a kidney just 2 months after starting dialysis , and I’m forever thankful for my donor Amelia and everything she has put herself through to help me. Today , I’m 2.5 weeks post op and put on a real outfit and makeup and who even am I Since December , before dialysis , I have shed 40 pounds of water weight and toxins that my kidneys weren’t able to filter out. My kidney function has gone from 3% to 71% in a matter of weeks. This transplant is becoming a blink in the past , and for so many years I was waiting for this feeling. I feel rejuvenated , awake , thankful , and elated. I’ve had a lot of time to sit with my new organ and process what just happened , but I don’t think I’ll come to full terms with it for a while. I’m sure things will continue to change over the next few months , in ways that I can’t predict. It’s been such an incredible learning experience to see how much I can handle physically and mentally as a human being. It’s wild!! Yay KIDNEYS! (Also sidenote , please send me fun suggestions of things to do inside my home for the next 4 weeks before I go insane lol #immunosuppressedlife)// #WorldKidneyDay @nationalkidneyfoundation (📸: @schenkandbake or @thisisgreg.g I can’t remember 😂)
